Nature & Culture Tour in Slettestrand

You will hear about Slettestrand through the ages; as a trading place and fishing village, the culture, nature and people then and now. Perhaps we will meet a real northern jute that you can not understand! You will hear about shootings and lawless conditions when fishermen ruled Slettestrand. On the tour you will experience the old summer houses from the beginning of the 1900s and get a look beyond the upcoming Tranum Natural National Park, where the wolf regularly passes by. We will end with a visit to Hanherred Hav— Denmark's only boatyard that builds boats according to the old traditions.
Practical information
The walk is as a starting point for normal walking. We go slowly with many stops. Approx. 2 hours and 2.5 km.
We can arrange an alternative route for groups with walking difficulties/wheelchair users, where we travel by dirt road instead of meadow and beach.
