Our activities are for everyone who wants to enjoy the magnificent nature by the North Sea - and you don't have to be a resident guest with us to take part.

There are many different reasons why people come to Slettestrand, but, for the vast majority, it's because of a desire to experience nature. That is why nature has been thought into virtually all of our activities, and we strive to make it accessible to everyone who visits us in Slettestrand – including those in wheelchairs or with other special needs.

We have a strong focus on sustainability, and we work with consideration for people, the environment and our beautiful nature. ## Trained Instructor

Esben H. Kronborg runs the majority of our courses and guided tours, but he also has a handful of D-MTBing-trained and experienced instructors who help with events, during the high season, etc. \
Esben is a trained EO-MTbing instructor and guide and certified tutor of other instructors and guides as well as censor for the international exam. Esben has been teaching MTB professionally since 2009, but also has 35 years of MTB experience in XC, enduro, endurance, stage races, adventureraces and many years of experience in club work on a voluntary level. Esben is also a trained public school teacher and instructor from the Armed Forces.

Your own MTB instructor

In week 31 we are ready with a cool MTB camp for kids. The camp is on three days from Thursday to Saturday with overnight stays from Friday to Saturday.

Our goal with the camp is for the children to gain a wider knowledge of the diversity of mountain biking and to have the opportunity to meet new friends in the sport. With a focus on learning and safety, we will work especially with driving technology in different situations, but we will also explore nature, laugh, have fun, eat cake and much more.

Children's camp 2026 is for ages 9 to 16 and with room for 18 participants.

MTB Camp for Kids & Youth

Mountain biking is a great fun way to experience nature and anyone who can ride a bike can join in! The course is relevant if you already do a bit of MTB or if you would like to know what it is.

We meet at Feriecenter Slettestrand and ride in droves to our MTB technical course, which we have built in order to create a fun and effective training area for riders of all levels. Together with our trained and certified instructor, we use the obstacle course obstacles to practice the basic techniques so you can feel confident on the bike and ready to get out into the woods! \
We finish the course with a walk through the forest back to Feriecenter Slettestrand. Along the way, we will test our learned techniques on some of the good tracks in Svinklove Plantation.

Do not hesitate to sign up for our course: “MTB for beginners” — you will get a good and fun experience on the bike, as well as a feel for what mountain biking is!

**Who can join? **

This is an advantage if you are fairly used to cycling, but previous experience on mountain biking is not necessary and you do not need to be in very good shape either. The team is primarily for adults and young people, but children aged 14 and with some experience of cycling can also take part. \
If you ride e-MTB, you are also welcome to the course.

For children under 14 years of age, we would recommend our course: “MTB for children”.

**Trained Instructors**

Esben Kronborg is part of the team behind Feriecenter Slettestrand. Esben has the highest certification for instructors in Europe and also trains other instructors. During busy periods, Esben is assisted by skilled, trained instructors in our network - of course, all with the minimum certification D-MTBing1. \
\
You can therefore be sure that your instructors can provide safe and professional and high-quality technical training. Feriecenter Slettestrand is actually one of the very few places where one can receive training that prepares the instructor for the international EO-MTBING exam for MTB instructors and guides.

MTB for beginners

**MTB teaching, fun and fuss on the technique track** 🚴🤪

We are going for a walk on our cool technique track and through play and fun exercises we improve our technique on the bike. We're going to have a good time and maybe make some new friends.

Since we are on the technical field all the time, it does not matter that there is a difference in level, but it is an advantage that you are quite used to cycling and about 9-14 years old. You don't need to have tried MTB before. A little younger can also participate if a parent is on the sidelines or you are used to riding MTB in a club, for example. 

Feel free to bring your parents along so they can help you along the way or just see how cool you are on the bike! If you are comfortable being alone without your parents, you can also just allow them to have some time off - maybe they want to spend the time on a walk out on the tracks in Svinklov Plantation?

MTB for kids

The content for each course can be found under the individual date. For the sake of learning, it will be a rather specific theme. \
In general, we work with more advanced techniques and strategies. The courses can be about jumps, steep terrain both up and down, preparation for specific disciplines and competition, riding on e-MTB or about specific maneuvers such as endo turns, types of turns, etc. 

**Who can join? **

Are you ready for the course if you are used to riding MTB, want to learn more and feel confident on blue tracks and part of the red ones? \
You are welcome whether you ride XC, E-MTB, trail, enduro or just MTB.

Come and be part of the amazing community that is MTB women's weekend in Slettestrand. A weekend specially created for women who love mountain biking. In our cozy, safe and informal environment we can give the gas on the bikes, cheer on each other, celebrate our successes and relax in the best company

Together with our experienced and trained MTB instructors, we must train technique, be challenged, laugh and push our limits. But we also have to have fun, eat good food and relax in the hot water pool or in the sauna. We place a strong emphasis on community and togetherness, where you will have the opportunity to share your experiences with other like-minded women who share your passion for mountain biking.

MTB Kvindeweekend in Slettestrand is a holistic experience that combines exercise, nature experiences, togetherness and relaxation. MTB Women's Weekend

End the day with freshly baked pancakes prepared over the bonfire, singing and good times! Every Tuesday we welcome you with freshly baked pancakes cooked over open flame by the Delfin residents, and we enjoy ourselves with singing and music.

During the summer season we are outdoors in the courtyard and on the slightly colder/wetter days we retreat indoors.

**Come and join us for a nice game of saunagus in Havbadhuset. Here you can relax, enjoy the warmth and loosen up sore muscles in the large sauna while enjoying the view of the dunes. **

In saunagus, water mixed with essential oils is poured directly onto the hot stones in the sauna stove, whereby the mixture evaporates and is distributed throughout the room. When the gas master swings the towel, the sauna is filled with the wonderful scents of the essential oils and the mind is taken back to nature. Along the way, the gusmaster will entertain with robbery stories and provide a good and cozy atmosphere in the sauna.

A sensual experience for both body and mind!

The sea bathhouse is built with full accessibility — the experience is therefore also suitable for wheelchair users etc.

🔪✨ **At the fire place and Hyggehytten we enjoy cutting, drawing and playing games! **

We light the fire place and fire up the Hyggehytten. There will be opportunities to draw, paint, play games and cut. We provide materials, tools and lots of great cutting tips — all you need to bring is the desire to create and enjoy.

A fun and creative experience in a relaxing setting. \

Cut and coziness

Join us on an exciting guided tour of the newly renovated historic Maries Hus, where we travel back in time and experience the history of the house in the beautiful surroundings of the forest. 🏡🌲

During this 3-hour tour, your experienced guide will take you on a journey through the layers of time as we explore Marie's House and its history. You will gain a unique insight into how the house has been newly renovated and recreated after the original building. Along the way there will be an opportunity for a short break, where you can enjoy the atmosphere and let the impressions of both the history and the beautiful surroundings sink in. 🌿🕰️

**Experience nature's challenges on mountain biking! **

MTB Slettestrand welcomes you to an exciting Trail/Enduro weekend - two great days for all of us who love to give the gas on the technical tracks and be challenged on the bike!

The weekend is for those who like to work with the technical challenges of the track. The goal can be both play and creativity on the track, as well as more speed with enduro races and the Trail Cup in mind.

In addition to exciting routes and technical challenges, there is of course also time for coziness, relaxation and good food. We believe that socializing is an important part of the experience, which is why we make sure you get the opportunity to meet other like-minded riders and share your experiences with them.

Come and join us for the Trail/Enduro weekend in Slettestrand, and see how far you can move on an intensive weekend!

Come to water gymnastics in our beautiful hot water pool, where everyone can join!

The team lasts an hour and you have to count on getting your heart rate up. However, the exercises are gentle and the warm water is good for muscles, joints and any injuries. Teacher is the lady herself, Inger Marie!

**Accessibility**

The sea bathhouse has been set up with full accessibility throughout the building, and there are two disabled-friendly changing rooms with a full ceiling lift and direct access to the pool. Our water gymnastics team is therefore also available for those of you who are in a wheelchair. You are of course very welcome to contact us and hear more if you need more detailed information about this.

**Time**

Tuesday, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. and Thursday, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Water aerobics for everyone

In Madsmedjen's cozy setting with a wood-fired pizza oven, we bake delicious pizzas from good ingredients together. Form the dough yourself, put the filling on to taste and bake the pizza in the wood-fired oven. We provide raw material and preparation and guide as needed. \
The experience is for both children and adults and it is an activity that families, companies and groups keep coming back to because there is something very special about cooking together, keeping the fire going and enjoying the meal afterwards.

**Hvem guider dig?**

**Anders Lautrup Kronborg** er den primære underviser gennem weekenden. Anders har en solid sundhedsfaglig baggrund og en passion for at arbejde med krop, sind og bevægelse. Med udgangspunkt i kandidatgrad i Idræts- og sundhedsvidenskab og erfaring som breathwork-instruktør guider han dig trygt gennem teknikkerne. Hans undervisning bygger på en dyb forståelse for krop og sind samt års undervisningserfaring.

Udover Anders vil du møde Louise, der som fysioterapeut og yogainstruktør bringer en holistisk tilgang til bevægelse og sundhed. Hun kombinerer sin viden med en kærlighed til kroppen og dens potentiale.

August er musikterapeut og musiker. Han bringer levende lyd og indlevelse ind i de længere breathwork sessions. Derudover bidrager August med en stor erfaring indenfor krydsfeltet af spiritualitet og terapi.

Sommer retreat - Frigørelsen

We do hatha yoga together, get strengthened and stretched in positions that we might otherwise forget to get out in.

Come as you are and feel what yoga can do for you - of significant effects, yoga can play into your physical strength and agility, mental calmness and reduce stress, improve body awareness, better sleep and concentration.

The classes take place inside, but if the weather is with us, we go outside and enjoy the lovely nature Slettestrand has to offer.

Afternoon yoga

Start the day with energy, joy of movement and a strong sensation in the body.

Morning yoga is dynamic and vibrant — inspired by my background as a gymnast, where flow, body control and natural movement are at the center. We work with strength, agility and balance.

The breath guides the movements and provides rhythm and presence. You will feel the body awake, the energy circulate and the mind become clear, so you move forward into the day with excess and ease.

The training is for those who want an active start to the day — with both power, focus and calm in the same practice. \
It takes place at the holiday centre Slettestrand or in the scenic surroundings of the holiday centre.
